Greening the City
During the 25th Anniversary Shell-ebration, we plan to “green” the cities that are part of our mobile tour. What does this mean? It means you will see some strong TMNT presence before the Party Wagon enters its next stop. You may see a landmark building “greening” their lights or TMNT advertisements throughout your city. Stay tuned to the Web site and widget to learn more about the TMNT’s plans for each city.
April’s Newsroom
April will be reporting live from the scene of the 25th Anniversary Shell-ebration throughout all of 2009. Stop by the newsroom for new videos, announcements and information about Shell-ebration activities.
4Kids Entertainment
4Kids is the master licensing agent and television production company that represents TMNT. They work and produce the TMNT cartoon series shown on 4Kids TV on Fox and The CW4Kids on The CW stations. 4Kids, along with Mirage Studios, is throwing the TMNT25 Shell-ebration to thank loyal TMNT fans everywhere.
Gobbledygook
This is the Mirage Studios precursor to the TMNT comic that got the Turtles to where they are today. One lucky fan was able to win an ultra rare, signed, two-issue Gobbledygook comic book after winning the first TMNT sweepstakes. Stay tuned for more upcoming sweepstakes!
Kevin Eastman
Co-creator of TMNT, Kevin has seen his first TMNT comic book exceed all expectations and become a cultural sensation over the past 25 years! He was able to help develop one of the most successful comic book series of all times and continues to write comics today.
Kicking Cow
The TMNT team has partnered with Kicking Cow to develop and implement a Mobile Tour event that will take the TMNT across the country to numerous cities to promote the 25th anniversary. They will also be responsible for creating the Party Wagon. Kicking Cow is a spirited, full-service event and promotional marketing company that has worked on many creative projects. Look for the Party Wagon in a city near you to see Kicking Cow’s awesome work and for your chance to hang with the Turtles!
Mirage Studios
Mirage Studios is the comic book company that owns the TMNT label. It was founded by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in 1983 and in 1984 they developed the first TMNT comic book! Mirage, along with 4Kids, is throwing the TMNT Shell-ebration for all of the fans that have made the TMNT such a success over the past 25 years! Thanks for your support!
Galabunga
These TMNT style parties will be marquee events during the Shell-ebration and will focus on the theme of “reunion,” bringing together the best of Turtle Power through the decades. The TMNT team is currently in discussions for the kick-off Galabunga to be held in April in NYC with an opening night screening of the original live-action film at the Tribeca Film Festival, followed by a Green-carpet party.
CRT/tanaka
The TMNT team has partnered with CRT/tanaka to develop and launch this interactive TMNT Web site. This site will be the home of many initiatives throughout the Shell-ebration. CRT/tanaka is an award-winning public relations and marketing firm with digital capabilities headquartered in Richmond, VA and just like you they are huge TMNT fans and excited to be part of the party! Keep coming back to the site for more updates throughout the year!

The TMNT team wants you to stay in the know about everything we have going on throughout 2009! Since July of 2008, we have been utilizing Twitter, a micro blogging platform, to keep avid fans in the know. Dudes, you know you want to follow TMNT25 too! Check us out at http://www.twitter.com/tmnt25.
New York Comic-Con 2009
From February 6 thru February 8, 2009, the New York Comic-Con show will take place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. This show brings the freshest comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies and television to the Big Apple for three days of costumes, collectors and fans of all ages! You can find the TMNT at New York Comic-Con at booth 1057. Stop by and say hello!!
Party Wagon
A big part of the TMNT 25th anniversary Shell-ebration will be the re-creation of the original Party Wagon. With help from our partner Kicking Cow, we are putting the Party Wagon back on the road! Keep your eyes peeled for details, sneak peeks and updates on the van’s upgrades.
Peppercom
Peppercom and its experiential marketing division, Peppercommotions, have come together with Mirage Studios and 4Kids Entertainment to help organize, execute and develop the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ 25th Anniversary Shell–ebration. The team is in charge of creating a year–long nationwide campaign by engaging new and established partners, audiences and media for the official 25th anniversary of TMNT.
Peter Laird
One of the co-founders of the TMNT franchise, Peter’s life has been entrenched with the Turtles for 25 years. Today, he oversees Mirage Studios and is playing a role in the Shell-ebration to thank all of his loyal fans!
San Diego Comic-Con 2009
The TMNT are not the only ones “Shell-ebrating” a milestone in 2009! 2009 will mark the 40th annual San Diego Comic-Con! In 2008, tickets for the event sold out before the doors of the San Diego Convention Center opened with a total of 125,000 people in attendance. Daily panels, events and contests are held, bringing the comic and gaming industries’ biggest fans face to face with the properties they love. In ’08, the TMNT provided conference goers with free pedi-cabs and the opportunity to enter into a TMNT contest…This year, the TMNT hope to Shell-ebrate in an even bigger and better way!
Shell-ebration
This is the term that is being used throughout 2009 in order to celebrate the TMNT 25th Anniversary! The year is marking a quarter century of evolving “Turtle Power.” The bodacious foursome (Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael) have grown into pop culture icons with no end to their pizza-loving, shell-kicking ways in sight. Numerous events, including the Galabungas, Party Wagon stops and much more, will help make up this awesome Shell-ebration!
